You know when you host a party and you go crazy getting the house ready and making sure the food is perfect and that there's plenty of toilet paper in the bathrooms and then you just wait.?
And the party's supposed to start at 8 p.m. and at 8:04 no one has arrived except your best friend or your brother and your terrified that no one will show up?
Well, that's kinda how I feel about The Ultimate Blog Party. I just hope some one shows up.
I'm looking forward to meeting new people, reading new blogs and getting new ideas and information. But, for right now, I'm just hoping that people will stop by, enjoy a cocktail, play a game or two and leave a comment.
Here's my Ultimate Blog Party Cocktail:
Raspberry vodka
Lemonade
Just a splash of cranberry juice to make the drink pink
Garnish with raspberries.
The real fun is in the ice cubes. Make lemonade ice cubes with a raspberry or two in each one. When your ice melts, it won't dilute your drink and you'll get to eat the frozen raspberry. This is generally my Spring Time Pink Drink. I hope that you'll enjoy.
Now, for the games. You may have heard of the game "Two Truths and A Lie". Well, I'm giving you six facts below. Two of them are lies, four of them are the truth. It's your job to tell me which are the lies. OK? Here goes:
1. I have a tatoo of a fleur di lys on my shoulder that I got in New Orleans on my 30th birthday.
2. I've only had two jobs since college and I'm almost 35.
3. I was once a foster mom to six cats.
4. To celebrate ringing in 2000, on New Year's Eve 1999, I bungeed jumped in Las Vegas with my best friend.
5. I have never had a speeding ticket.
6. I once wore an over 76 carat diamond, the 11th largest diamond in the world.
Oh, and I'll reveal the big fat lies on Friday.
Now, on to the prizes. There are some great prizes going on at the Ultimate Blog Party. There are alot of prizes for moms and babies, since I'm not a mom, I hope that a worthy mom will win those goodies. Here are my faves:
1. My first choice for a prize is the B&B stay in Italy from Cherrye at My Bella Vita. Seriously, please pick me, pick me!! I have some vacation time and a passport dying to get used!
2. A $50 gift certificate to Paperlicious

My guess is that you didn't do the bungee jumping thing. And since you have to travel so much for work, I would imagine a speeding ticket or two could be in your background : )
