I've been tagged by my new friends, Smiler and PrissyCook. If you have a few moments, I recommend that you visit her, she's a lovely writer, and funny, too.
Here are the rules for the meme:
1. Link to the person’s blog who tagged you.
2. Post these rules on your blog.
3. List seven random and/or weird facts about yourself.
4. Tag seven random [?] people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs.
5. Let each person know that they have been tagged by posting a comment on their blog.
Ok, here goes:
1. I love coffee, but I don't drink it much. I never make it in the morning. I'm much more likely to have a cup after a nice dinner out. We don't even have a coffee machine in our house, unless you count this monstrousity. Which Patrick likes, but I think takes up too much space.
2. In the same vain as above, I think Starbucks is ridiculous. $5 for a cuppa? Give me a break, I maybe go to Starbucks once or twice a month and then it's only at a friend/co-worker's prompting. My cup of tea is $1.50. I could have a great vacation in stead of spending $5 a day. People would save $1300 a year if they give up the $5 a cup habit. Starbucks is the new pack of cigarettes.
3. I feel out of place and very uncomfortable if I'm not making plans for my next vacation. Just planning my vacations is a hobby and a huge stress reliever. I'm truly calm when I have the plane tickets and confirmations for all of my lodging.
4. My dream job would be a travel planner for great vacations. Not for people with unlimited funds (who, I find, you can rarely truly satisfy), but for people just like me who have a modest budget, but who still want a fabulous vacation. You know, someone would come to me and say, "I have $5000, will you plan my trip?" Surely!
5. I like staying in hotels. Good thing, since tonight will be my 10th night in a row in one. I love getting into a nice bed with good linens, and bonus the bed making fairy comes.
6. I don't remember much of my life since before I was 7 or 8. I don't know why. I have flashes of memories, but I sometimes get them confused with stories I've been told about myself at young ages.
7. I have absolutely no desire to go back and continue my education. If someone said that they'd pay my education and living expenses so that I could go back to school and get my Ph.D., I'd tell them to shove it.
Hmmm, tagging seven people, let's see:
1. Blackbird
2. Shoe Addict
3. Country Mouse
4. The Daily Rant
5. Stew
6. Jambalaya!
7. Cheap Blue Guitar
Let's see who complies with my wishes!
Today I'm thankful that in just a month I get to go home to Arizona and see my parents and friends and all of Patrick's family, too. I miss them all so very much. I haven't seen my parents since June and I miss them terribly.

I'm in!
Oh goodie!!
Yay! I needed a post for NaBloPoMo.
I have never had a Starbucks anything! I think I am in the minority...LOL! But I agree with you...$5.00 for a cup of coffee? I don't think so....!
I love that just planning a trip gives you such a great feeling. I too, love to stay in Hotels...but I have some bad Hotel Karma...Ceilings fall, Water is turned off for 12 hours. elevators are stuck for hours....It is in a way kind of hilarious, AFTER the fact! LOL...Not at the time, of course!
I'm with you on the Starbucks thing. "Starbucks is the new pack of cigarettes". That's really good. Thanks for playing along.
I LOVE Memes, so I'll definitely play. But Meme's with RULES? Uh, I don't know.....lol
I don't know if I'll tag anyone, but I'll give it a shot!
As for your post - I love staying in hotels too. And like you, I stay in them often!
And the vacation planning thing? Well, I know who to go to for that now! Although I'm always on vacation, it seems, when I really want to PLAN something, I just can't get my act together! :)
Look for my meme in a few days...or maybe even today...depends on how I prioritize today. I might want to spend the day drinking expensive lattes and reading magazines; my favorite pasttime. LOL
Ciao!
PS: I'll be in Tucson visiting my family for the holidays, so I'll give you a shout out and a big air horn honk when I'm cruisimg through Phoenix on the way there! Have a great (HOT) Thanksgiving in AZ!
Deja Vu...
But sure, I'll annoy you further!
Well, geggie, I am visiting from Michele's today and I have to say that I am a straight guy that loves Project Runway. What is it about that show? My wife laughs at me all the time when I stay up on Wednesdays and watch it, but what am I supposed to do. BTW...I love hotels also. I think its the fact I don't have to make the bed in the morning.
CBG -- glad to obliged
Naomi -- You're not missing much with the Starbucks.
TDR -- I'll be in Tucson for the holidays too, maybe our paths will cross.
Stew -- you're a mad man.
K -- thanks for stopping by.
You should *SO* do the travel planning thing!!!!! I would totally be your client!
I am so with you on the planning/traveling/hotels bit. One of my favorite things to do is to buy plane tickets. And not just the actual purchasing of them, but checking out all of the sites, comparing prices and times, etc. I just made last minute plans to D.C., in fact!
